Spring-like Temperatures Later This Week

TODAY: We’re seeing another cold start across Mid-Missouri. Clouds have hung on a little stronger than previously thought, so that will help keep us a little warmer to start out our Sunday. We’ll top out near 40 this afternoon for high temperatures as we see another chance for a rain and snow mix enter the area. It appears we will start out as rain this afternoon before beginning to change over to mostly snow toward tonight. Still looks like a minor event in the way of accumulating snow, but our best chance still resides in our northern counties, where the change will happen first. I still think we will be struggling to get 1″ out of this system, with temperatures starting out a little warmer than previously forecasted.

TONIGHT: Mostly snow will be wrapping up around 10 pm or so for all of us. Could have some lingering flurries sticking around the area but nothing accumulating. Lows will dip down to the upper 20s to low 30s.

EXTENDED : We could see a few evening sprinkles Monday afternoon as another disturbance pushes through the area. Southwestern portions of the viewing area have the best chances at seeing that rainfall. Drier weather moves in on Tuesday as more Spring-like weather heads toward Mid-Missouri. We’ll warm up to the middle 60s on Wednesday and near 70 Thursday before another storm system approaches the area toward the end of the week. Stay tuned to ABC 17 for the latest forecast and updates.
