The lawsuit, combined with Karen Ray and Laura Cooper’s lawsuit from the last couple of years, puts the total price tag of JCPS discrimination at $1,075,000.

ABC 17 reached out to JCPS Superintendent Larry Linthacum, but he had no comment.

ORIGINAL STORY: A settlement motion has been filed in a discrimination lawsuit against Jefferson City Public Schools.

Gretchen Guitard filed the suit last spring after she claimed to be the victim of discrimination at the district.

A motion was filed last night to dismiss the case with prejudice.

The proposal also says, “each party will bear its own costs and attorney’s fees.”

ABC 17 News has reached out to the school district to get more information on the motion.

A judge still must sign the proposed judgment to make it official.

This comes as a similar case filed by JCPS employee Tammy Ferry is also being processed.
