BCFD and Columbia Fire Department fight residential fire on Richland Road
UPDATE 5:02 P.M.: The majority of the damage done to the home was in the attic and the exterior of the building, said Frazier, who thinks the house can be salvaged.
UPDATE 4:41 P.M.: Assistant Fire Chief Brad Frazier says the fire most likely started in the attic or at a wood pile in the back of the home. Two children and two adults were home at the time of the fire, but no one was hurt.
UPDATE 4:26 P.M.: According to the Columbia Fire Department, the fire was under control in about 20 minutes.
ORIGINAL STORY: The Boone County Fire Department and the Columbia Fire Department are working to extinguish a residential fire on the 1700 block of Richland Road on Boone County.
