UPDATE: Deputies confirm central Columbia scene connected to Pinehurst shooting

UPDATE 6:50 pm: Deputies confirm the Circus and Rodgers scene is connected to the Pinehurst shooting but would not say how.

Columbia police said they are helping deputies with an “ongoing investigation.”

ORIGINAL STORY: Multiple law enforcement officers responded to Circus and Rodgers on Tuesday evening.

ABC 17 crews are on scene and saw Columbia police and Boone County deputies investigating the area.

No information has been released as to why officers are on scene.
