Columbia police arrest man accused of committing robbery with gun

Columbia police arrested Anthony Acton early Wednesday morning for robbery.

Police said they were originally dispatched to the 1800 block of Bear Creek Drive in February. Acton was accused of arriving at a house and noticing money inside of the residence.

Officers said Acton asked the male victim for the money but the victim did not give it to him. The victim said Acton displayed a gun and threatened him.

Police said Acton ended up taking the money.

Acton was arrested on a felony warrant with no bond and a second felony warrant with a bond of $100,000 cash only.
