More cool weather with on and off rain chances

TONIGHT: Spotty showers will move through overnight becoming more numerous south of HWY 54 in the early morning hours. Low temperatures will stay in the low to mid 40s with winds from the north increasing to 10 mph by morning. Rainfall amounts up to a quarter inch are possible with higher amounts to three quarters of an inch near I-44 through Thursday morning.

THURSDAY: Rain will shift to the east and out of the area by noon but clouds will stick around most of the day with highs near 50. A chilly northerly wind at 15 mph will gust as high as 25 mph.

EXTENDED: We’ll have a cold, mostly cloudy start to the day Friday with morning lows in the low to mi d 30s. Clouds will finally clear and we’ll see sunshine to end the work week with high temperatures reaching the upper 50s. An active weather pattern will continue through the weekend with on and off rain chances. There is a chance of rain showers Saturday morning with a mostly cloudy afternoon and highs in the mid to upper 50s. Forecast models are trending colder for Easter Sunday, keeping us in the 30s to lower 40s and bringing in a chance of rain and snow showers. No snow accumulation is expected at this time.
