Columbia police arrest man after officers find methamphetamine

Columbia police arrested David Clements on Tuesday after officers responded to the 2300 block of Park De Ville place for a disturbance.

The caller reported that Clements had been using methamphetamine in the spare bathroom.

Police said they were showed the spare bathroom and learned that Clements would buy methamphetamine daily and use it in the house.

Officers were given a bag of white crystals that tested positive for methamphetamine.

Police made contact with Clements and found two glass pipes that tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine.

According to the probable cause statement, Clements has previously been arrested for assault, stealing, theft and domestic assault.

Clements was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
