Multi-county high speed chase ends in crash, suspect taken to hospital

Maries County deputies were involved in a high speed chase on Monday night.

Deputies said the chase went through Maries County, Gasconade County and ended in Osage County when the suspect crashed.

Officers said the suspect put innocent lives at risk because he was driving at speeds over 120 mph.

The suspect was taken to the hospital because he allegedly swallowed a bag of drugs during the chase.

Deputies said more information on the chase would be released at a later time.
