**FLOOD WATCH** MONDAY 7PM – TUESDAY 7PM

COUNTIES: CAMDEN, MILLER, COLE, OSAGE, MARIES, PULASKI, PHELPS, GASCONADE

THREATS INCLUDE: FLOODING ALONG STREAMS, CREEKS & LOW-LYING AREAS. FLOODED ROADWAYS SHOULD BE AVOIDED. TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN.

TONIGHT: Showers and t-storms will increase, moving southwest to northeast. The heaviest band of rain moves in after midnight and is expected to be near and just north of the I-44 corridor through tomorrow morning with possible flooding. Temperatures hover steady in the low 50s tonight with winds out of the south up to 12 mph.

TUESDAY: Rain will continue through the day, tapering off by late afternoon and evening as temperatures fall. We’ll start off in the upper 40s to lower 50s in the morning but temperatures will fall through the day as winds shift to the north. Rainfall amounts from Monday night through Tuesday evening are expected to come in at 1-4″ south of I-70 with highest totals near I-44 and under an inch north of I-70.

EXTENDED: Tuesday morning showers will continue mainly south of I-70, with rain chances through the entire day as temperatures reach back into the upper 50s. By Tuesday night we will see a shot of cold air as low temperatures drop back into the 30s. We will try to dry out Wednesday as highs recover back to the middle 50s with a little sunshine, however, a more impressive shot of cold looks to be on the horizon into next weekend, where we will likely see well below average temperatures. Thursday brings more rain back into the forecast, with fairly active weather pattern carrying us through the weekend with on and off rain chances into early April.
