While officers were still investigating the burglary, police were dispatched to Motel 6 on I-70 Drive Southeast in reference to a trespassing subject.

A Motel 6 employee said Perry looked like he had a backpack with a gun sticking out of it and he did not belong in the hotel.

Officers found Perry and searched his bag. Police said there were numerous tools found to be from several trucks on the Columbia Deck and Fence lot on I-70 Drive Southeast.

Perry also matched the description of the suspect from the burglary at the Hong Kong Market.

Police said they found voided checks in Perry’s pocket from Tammie’s Covenant Kitchen.

Officers said they also checked Como Premium Exterior on I-70 Drive Southeast and found a window screen had been partially pried off and a window forced open at the business. A car belonging to the business was also damaged.

Police found gloves that matched the gloves Perry was wearing during the burglary at Hong Kong Market.

Perry faces possible charges of two counts of burglary, property damage, stealing, tampering and trespassing.
