Keep The Umbrella Handy Monday and Tuesday

TODAY: We’re going to see mostly cloudy conditions continue this morning. High temperatures will fight to reach back up to 50 degrees in most locations, and if we see some sunshine this afternoon, could go a couple degrees beyond 50. Winds will be out of the east around 10 mph.

TONIGHT: Clouds will be back on the increase overnight tonight ahead of our next approaching weather system. With cloud cover overnight and an easterly wind to keep the atmosphere mixed up, lows will only drop into the upper 30s to low 40s. We’ll see our chances of rain increase as we approach sunrise.

EXTENDED: We will be looking at a pretty soggy beginning to the work week as a couple rounds of rain will be affecting Mid-Missouri. By the morning commute on Monday, we will be looking at a chance of showers–cannot rule out an isolated t-storm either–and that chance of rain will persist through Tuesday. That’s not to say it will be a washout the first two days of the work week, but the chance will be there throughout. The heaviest rounds still appear to be in the mid-afternoon hours on Monday and the morning hours on Tuesday. Rainfall totals of 1-3″ are still expected across the region with the heaviest rain near the I-44 corridor. We will try to dry out Wednesday as highs recover behind a cold front to the middle 50s, where we will stay until next weekend.
