Southern Boone School District put on lockdown for a “concern”

Superintendent Christopher Felmlee for the Southern Boone School District sent out a letter to parents alerting them that the campus was locked down on Thursday.

Felmlee said there was a concern reported and the campus was put on lockdown while the incident was being investigated.

Activities were restricted outside at the primary and elementary schools.

Officials said the threat was determined not to be credible and the buildings returned to normal procedures.

ABC 17 is reaching out to school officials to learn more about the threat.
