FRIDAY: It will start off mostly dry, cloudy, and mild for the morning commute. Rain chances will increase, especially into the afternoon hours as a stronger area of low pressure approaches the region. Spotty showers are possible in the morning but will become more numerous in the afternoon, with most coverage east of HWY 63 during the afternoon hours. High temperatures will reach the mid 50s to near 60 degrees as winds come in from the southeast up to 15 mph. Heading through the evening, additional showers and t-storms are expected to develop ahead of the low pressure area with most north of I-70.
TONIGHT: Showers and t-storms will continue tonight mainly north of I-70. With breezy conditions out of the southeast temperatures will remain steady in the mid to upper 40s through the entire night. By morning we could see a few lingering showers.
EXTENDED: Showers will move east of the area by noon Saturday with temperatures in the morning reaching the 50s to near 60. Winds will shift to the northwest by noon and temperatures will cool into the upper 40s by late afternoon as winds gust to 25 mph at times, ushering in the cooler air. We’ll drop into the lower 30s Saturday night. Sunshine will be limited Sunday with high temperatures in the mid to upper 50s. Showers and isolated t-storms will move in Sunday night as a warm front lifts across the area, warming us into the lower 60s Monday. Periods of rain and t-storms will continue through Tuesday with heavy rain possible Monday night into Tuesday ahead of a cold front.
