Columbia police respond to report of shots fired on Rock Quarry Road
UPDATE (11:05 a.m.): Police said when they responded to the apartment complex, they made contact with a man who was firing shots into a lake in the area.
Officers found two shell casings on site. There were no reports of injuries or property damage.
UPDATE (6:10 a.m.): Columbia police officers on scene told ABC 17 News they responded to the apartment complex for a separate incident. However, officers said the second incident involved the same people in the shots fired investigation earlier Friday morning.

It happened near The Arch Columbia apartments in the 3200 block of Rock Quarry Road shortly after 3 a.m.
Police on scene told ABC 17 News officers made no arrests and there were no injuries.
