Tipton police arrest man accused of molesting 14-year-old girl

Tipton police arrested Christopher Burns on Monday after he was accused of child molestation.

According to the probable cause statement, a 14-year-old girl told investigators that Burns had engaged in sexual contact with her while she was at his house.

Burns was accused of grabbing the victim’s butt and sexually touching her. The victim also told officers that Burns had asked her to sexually touch him.

Burns admitted to police that he had sexually touched the victim and grabbed her butt. He said at least one of the incidents was him just being playful with her and he was only tickling the victim.

Burns was taken to the Moniteau County Jail and has a bond set at $100,000. He was charged with sexual abuse and child molestation.
