Man accused of threatening to kill woman, choking her

A man has been charged with domestic assault, stealing and property damage after he was accused of threatening a woman and breaking her phone.

The woman told officers that Jason Yeakle began to argue with her over the phone.

Yeakle was accused of going to the motel where the victim was staying and threatening to kill her. He allegedly told her that he had dug a hole for her body on Highway CC.

The woman told officers that Yeakle spit in her face and threw a soda bottle at her head.

According to the probable cause statement, Yeakle began to choke the woman and threw her down on a bed and said he was going to rape her.

Officers said Yeakle also took the woman’s phone and broke it so she could not call for help.

The victim was able to get out of the room and scream for help. Officers said they saw a cut and redness on the left side of the woman’s neck.
