Jefferson City man sentenced to 25 years after officers find more than 400 grams of methamphetamine
A Jefferson City man was sentenced in federal court on Wednesday for possessing methamphetamine that was found in the trunk of his car.
Michael Green, 57, was sentenced to 25 years and 10 months in federal prison without parole. He was also sentenced as a career offender due to his prior criminal convictions.
In August, Green admitted that he was behind the wheel of a car parked at an intersection of a city street in Grandview.
Police said the vehicle was not running and had its hood up. Officers decided to tow and search the car.
Police found a shoebox that contained more than 400 grams of methamphetamine.
