Boonville police arrest two after officers find drugs, guns in car

Boonville police arrested Lance Stout and Kathryn Swafford on Tuesday after officers conducted a vehicle stop in the 200 block of East Morgan Street.

Officers initially arrested Stout for driving with a revoked license. Police searched Stout and found methamphetamine, brass knuckles and drug paraphernalia.

Officers also searched the car and found more methamphetamine, baggies and scales associated with drug distribution and two guns.

Police weighed the methamphetamine and found it to be nearly an ounce. Officers also found an imitation controlled substance and money.

Swafford was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.

The two suspects are currently being held in the Cooper County Jail.
