Warming trend, late-week rain

TONIGHT: There is a slight chance of light showers near HWY 65 mainly before midnight. Clouds will stick around early in the night and start to clear toward morning which could lead to patchy fog as temperatures drop to near 30.

WEDNESDAY: We’ll finally see some sunshine and temperatures will warm to near 50 with winds coming in from the northwest up to 10 mph.

EXTENDED: We’ll warm up a bit the next few days, reaching near 60 Thursday. We’ll have some clouds around with a slight chance of light rain in northeastern Missouri Thursday morning. Most of Mid-Missouri will stay dry but we can’t rule out a few showers in Monroe, Audrain and Montgomery counties early in the day. Showers will become more likely Friday into Saturday as a warm front lifts across the area, bringing temperatures up into the low to mid 60s Saturday. Showers are possible by Friday afternoon and evening through Saturday morning as another storm system passes to our south. This will also cool us back into the mid to upper 50s Sunday through Tuesday with rain possible late Sunday and Monday .Be sure to check back at ABC 17 to get the latest updates on the forecast throughout the week.
