UPDATE: Two arrested after police serve search warrant in central Columbia

Two people have been arrested after they served a search warrant in the 1000 block of Southpark Drive Friday afternoon, Columbia police said.

Police said detectives with Vice Narcotics and the Organized Crime Unit, as well as members of the Special Weapons and Tactics team, served the warrant around 3:30 p.m. at 1035 Southpark Drive, Apartment 1.

Four people were inside the residence at the time and were detained while detectives searched the apartment, police said.

After the search, police arrested Deondray West, 19, of Columbia and Anthony Brown, 19, of Columbia.

Police said that during the search detectives found the following items:

two stolen firearms bullets matching the ammunition from one of the stolen firearms glass marijuana pipe baggie containing 13.4 grams of marijuana digital scale marijuana grinder

Police said they also found a baggie of marijuana and a baggie of yellow pills, identified as Alprazolam, in the pocket of Brown.

Brown was arrested on the charges of felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, police said.

Police said they arrested West on the charges of felony stealing, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
