Moberly man arrested after weekend fight

A 24-year-old Moberly man will soon be transported back to Missouri after police say he was involved in a violent incident early Saturday morning.

Officers were called to the 600 block of Concannon Street for a reported fight at a nearby parking lot.

Police arrived to find a victim with facial lacerations, who was taken to University Hospital for treatment.

The suspect, 24-year-old Matthew Graves, had left the area and the state, according to police.

The Moberly man was found to be in Cadiz, Kentucky, where he was arrested by local police.

“Graves is being held on a warrant with a $100,000 cash only bond and is awaiting extradition to Missouri,” said Sgt. C. Robinson. “Moberly Police Department was assisted by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department and the Cadiz Kentucky Police Department.”
