Cool start to spring
TONIGHT: Showers will end west to east through the evening, with drizzle sticking around into the night with overcast skies and north winds up to 15 mph. Lows will drop into the mid 30s with wind chills in the mid 20s by morning.
TUESDAY: It will be chilly for the first day of spring as temperatures will start off in the mid 30s and only climb into the low to mid 40s as clouds stick around. Winds will come in from the north near 10 mph early, diminishing to 5 mph by evening.
EXTENDED: Through the rest of the week, a warming trend and more sunshine is back in the forecast. We’ll reach close to 50 Wednesday and near 60 Thursday. It will stay dry through most of the week before our next low pressure system begins to impact the area late Thursday night into Friday. Light rain is possible in northeast Missouri Thursday morning, affecting areas east of HWY 63. Showers will become more likely Friday into Saturday as a warm front lifts across the area, bringing temperatures up into the low to mid 60s Saturday. At this time it looks like we’ll cool back into the upper 50s Sunday. Be sure to check back at ABC 17 to get the latest updates on the forecast throughout the week.
