Four arrested after Centralia police find methamphetamine in car, police say
Centralia police said they arrested four people after they found methamphetamine and other illegal items in a car Friday morning.
Police said they received reports of a suspicious vehicle with a few people inside on Highway 22 near a business early Friday.
Before police arrived to the location, they received more reports that the car drove away, police said.
Police said they later saw the car driving near the McDonald’s on Jefferson Street and pulled the car over.
Police said they searched the car and found methamphetamine, several needles and a car-unlocking device.
Police said they arrested the driver, Ashlee Heaston, 30, of Bolivar, and the three passengers: Norisha Byers, 24, of Fulton; Dillon Heilig, 28, of Mokane; and Michael Waters, 35, of Mexico.
All four were arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, police said. Heaston was also arrested on charges of persistent driving under the influence, possession of burglary tools and possession of drug paraphernalia. Waters was also arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.
