Mediacom outages impact customers state-wide after fibers mistakenly cut

According to Mediacom, phone, internet and most video services have been disrupted after fibers were mistakenly cut or damaged by crews.

At 1:41 p.m., an underground fiber was cut by a construction crew in Cameron, Missouri. According to Mediacom, in a very rare circumstance, the redundancy ring in Cuba, Missouri was also cut after a dump truck pulled down some wires around 11:00 a.m.

Mediacom crews are working on the issues at both places and services are anticipated to be restored between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. tonight.
