Murder suspect arrested in Saline County
UPDATE 11:40 am: According to the probable cause statement, witnesses saw McAlister get into a fight with Gibson and then heard gunshots.
Witnesses said they also saw McAlister stand over a body.
Officers interviewed McAlister and he admitted to having the fight. He took law enforcement officers to the area of the incident and provided them with the gun.
According to the probable cause statement, McAlister claimed to have taken the gun from the scene.
McAlister was charged with murder in the second degree and armed criminal action.
ORIGINAL STORY: Deputies in Saline County arrested a murder suspect on Saturday.
Adam McAlister, 30, is in the Saline County Jail accused of killing 31-year-old Lance Gibson.
Local and state agencies were investigating in the 900 block of Jenkins Street in Slater, where Gibson was found dead early Friday.
McAlister is facing second-degree murder and armed criminal action charges.
A cash-only bond has been set at $500,000.
