Man arrested after Pettis County deputies find over 70 grams of methamphetamine

Pettis County deputies arrested Thomas Pitts on Sunday after officers were informed that he was selling methamphetamine and had a large quantity of the drug.

According to the probable cause statement, deputies had received recent information of heavy drug traffic coming from Pitts’ residence and saw multiple cameras attached to his house. Pitts also has a long history of being arrested for drug distribution.

Deputies executed a search warrant on Pitts’ house and found him trying to leave through back window but was stopped. Officers found a gun, a glass methamphetamine pipe, 47 grams of methamphetamine, a bundle of clear plastic baggies, a ledger containing names and dollar amounts.

Deputies also searched a shop near the residence and found 30 grams of methamphetamine and marijuana.

Pitts was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of a firearm.
