Local lawmakers react to passing of former Boone County clerk
Local lawmakers are reacting to the passing of former Boone County Clerk, Wendy Noren.
ABC 17 previously reported that Noren died on Sunday after a long battle with cancer. She was 63. Noren was first elected to office in 1982 and was reelected eight times.
Sen. Roy Blunt tweeted on Monday, “Saddened to hear of Wendy Noren’s passing. Serving as Boone County clerk for more than three decades, Wendy was truly dedicated to the electoral process and the citizens of Missouri.”
State Rep. Martha Stevens tweeted on Monday, “I am very sad to hear this news. Wendy will be dearly missed in our community but I know her life long dedication to public service and democracy will inspire others for years to come.”
Sen. Caleb Rowden tweeted on Monday, “I am saddened to hear of the passing of former Boone County Clerk Wendy Noren. She was a tireless and diligent public official who left her mark on our community in countless ways.”
State Rep. Sara Walsh tweeted on Sudnay, “Saddened to hear the news that former Boone County Clerk Wendy Noren has died. She was a dedicated public servant who will be greatly missed in our community. We are lifting her family up in our prayers.”
