Cooler End to the Weekend
TODAY: Rain and snow will be moving into the area early this morning. Some areas across Mid-Missouri could see some bands of heavier snow falling this morning, which will lead to some light accumulations, mainly on grassy or elevated surfaces. The best chance for those accumulations are going to be in the northern and eastern counties in our viewing area. Could see some slick spots in areas where we see some of these heavier snowfall rates. High temperatures will only top out around 40 for most of us.
TONIGHT: Showers will be exiting the area this evening and we will begin to see a clearing trend as we head into tonight. We will cool off a bit more than we have in recent nights, with lows in the mid to upper 20s.
EXTENDED: Northerly winds will be to blame for a below average start to the work week. While it won’t be nearly as windy as it was to begin last week, they will keep our temperatures in the low to mid 40s Monday and Tuesday. We will get back to normal on Wednesday with highs in the low 50s. The warming trend continues into the end of next week, where we will be tracking another low pressure system into next weekend.
