Mild into the weekend, with snow by Sunday

FRIDAY: It’s a cool, yet pleasant afternoon across Mid-Missouri. Temperatures are in the mid to upper 40s and will climb into the 50s through the day. It’s the start of a warming trend as we head into the weekend. Winds will be out of the ESE through the day, up to 15 mph and will give way to a wind chill in the upper 30s and lower 40s, so a light jacket will be needed.

TONIGHT: Cloudy skies hang on tonight as we remain dry and temperatures fall into the mid to upper 30s. If you’re an earlier riser for Saturday morning expect easterly winds up to 9 mph to create for wind chills in the upper 20s.

EXTENDED: Saturday remains mild with highs in the mid to upper 50s with a chance of isolated showers in the evening and overnight. As colder air moves in Sunday morning, rain could switch to snow with light accumulation possible on grassy surfaces, but not elsewhere due to warm ground and above freezing air temperatures. Rainfall totals look limited as well, only reaching up to .30″. The rain and snow chances decrease Sunday morning with most areas dry by afternoon. It will be cooler Sunday with high temperatures in the mid 40s. We’ll see a slow warming trend next week as we start off dry and mostly sunny with storm chances by the end of the week.
