Raw and breezy afternoon, with evening flurries

WEDNESDAY: Clouds will be slow to break this afternoon, as northwesterly flow aloft tracks in another weak disturbance into Mid-Missouri. With the clouds in place, temperatures will struggle to climb into the upper 30s for many locations, with wind chills remaining near 20 degrees. It’ll certainly feel like winter today, with the chance for flurries late this afternoon as the disturbance approaches.

TONIGHT: Any flurries we see during the evening will end by midnight, with colder air to follow. Clouds will slowly decrease through the night, as colder and drier air filters in from the north. Temperatures will dip into the mid 20s through the night, with wind chills near 15 degrees. Bundle up as you head out the door for your Thursday morning.

EXTENDED: After a cold morning, we’ll warm slightly Thursday with more sunshine in the forecast, reaching the lower 40s in the afternoon. We’ll warm back into the 50s Friday as clouds build back into the area. Saturday remains mild with highs in the upper 50s with a slight chance of showers through the afternoon, the best chance looks further south of I-70. By Sunday morning we see another shot at rain, which could mix to snow. Cooler air returns by the end of the weekend with highs on Sunday back in the 40s.
