Troopers arrest man accused of resisting arrest, having methamphetamine

Troopers arrested Anthony Adams on Monday after he was accused of resisting arrest.

According to the probable cause statement, officers noticed Adams’ vehicle was pulled over on the side of the road. Troopers pulled behind the car to check on Adams well being.

Troopers said they did a computer check on Adams and discovered he had two active arrest warrants.

Officers attempted to search Adams, but he resisted arrest and tried to flee the area.

Adams was eventually arrested and transported to the Boone County Jail.

Officers noticed a substance on the rear seat where Adams had been sitting in the patrol vehicle. The substance was positively tested as methamphetamine.

Adams was charged with possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.
