UPDATE: Jefferson City police classify death as murder, identify victim
UPDATE 3/5: Jefferson City police said they are now classifying the death as a murder.
Police said that Ronald Rattler, 41 suffered from at least one gunshot wound and the exact causes of death would be determined by the medical examiner’s office.
Officers said throughout their investigation, they interviewed a number of people who were believed to have some knowledge of the circumstances surrounding the death and determined it was a murder.

ORIGINAL STORY: Jefferson City Police officers were called to the 600 block of Clark Avenue around 11:15 a.m. Sunday for medical assistance. The department said officers found a 41-year-old man dead inside the home.
According to a statement released Sunday afternoon, “Detectives are processing the scene and investigating the death as suspicious.”
On Sunday afternoon ABC 17 News crews witnessed crime scene tape marking off a home near the corner of Clark Avenue and East Dunklin Street.
