Clouds clearing this evening, windy & colder Tuesday
TONIGHT : With clear skies in place temperatures tonight will drop close to freezing. Breezy westerly winds will subside slightly tonight, but winds up to 12 mph will create for wind chills in the 20s by tomorrow morning.
TUESDAY: We’ll see sunny skies to start the day, however, clouds will begin to build back in as our low pressure system that brought us rain last night rotates south into our area. We’re continuing to monitor strong wind potential as we could see gusts up to 40 mph at times throughout the day. Temperatures will hover in the mid 40s most of the day, but begin to drop into the afternoon. During the evening rush hour, we’re going to begin to see scattered showers fall across the region. Along with that, cold air will filter air, giving way to snow showers by later in the evening.
EXTENDED : Colder air settles in Tuesday night with lows in the upper 20s and wind chills dipping into the upper teens by Wednesday morning, reminding us that winter is still hanging on. It will be cool Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the low to mid 40s. We’ll warm back into the 50s Friday and into the weekend with our next chance of rain moving in Friday night.
