Man admits to “shooting up” heroin after officers find him passed out in his vehicle

A man has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, DWI and driving with a revoked license after officers discovered him passed out in his car.

According to the probable cause statement, a woman saw a vehicle stopped in the roadway on Green Meadows in front of a roundabout. Nathan Fine was “passed out” at the wheel, with the vehicle in drive and Fine’s foot on the brake pedal.

The woman told officers she knocked on the window and woke Fine up. Fine acknowledged her and “passed back out.” The woman was able to wake Fine back up again and he drove away.

Officers found Fine’s vehicle stopped in the middle of the intersection on South Providence Road and Mick Deaver Memorial Drive.

Police said when they approached the car, they saw Fine’s head slumped over. Fine told officers he had “shot up” heroin 20 minutes ago in the Walmart parking lot.

Officers said they found heroin and paraphernalia in the vehicle.
