Breezy Tuesday afternoon, with storms by evening
TUESDAY: It’s a beautiful afternoon across Mid-Missouri, as temperatures are already climbing into into the upper 50s. Thanks to some sunshine and breezy winds out of the southeast, highs will top out near 70 degrees today. It’ll be dry through the day, but by the late evening hours showers and storms will be increasing from the southwest.
TONIGHT: Temperatures tonight will remain mild as cloudy skies and southerly winds up to 14 mph keep us warm. Overnight lows only drop into the upper 40s by morning. Thanks to a strengthening low level jet, showers and storms are expected to track into Mid-Missouri after 7PM. The storms will lift from the southwest to the northeast through the night and will bring the potential for up to .50″ of rain. No severe weather is expected.
EXTENDED: Wednesday temperatures will climb from the upper 40s in the morning to the lower 60s by the afternoon with another increasing chance of showers and t-storms later in the day. These will become likely Wednesday night, ending again by daybreak Thursday. It will be cooler and windy Thursday with northwest winds gusting to 30 mph at times as temperatures remain in the upper 40s to near 50 for highs under mostly sunny skies. We’ll start warming up again Friday and into the weekend with highs reaching the upper 50s by Saturday.
