Jefferson City man arrested after law enforcement searches home for drugs

Callaway County deputies arrested a Jefferson City man after they served a narcotics search warrant Thursday night, according to a press release.

The release said deputies and the MUSTANG Drug Task Force obtained a warrant to search the 3400 block of State Road AA as the result of a joint narcotics investigation.

Deputies and members of the MUSTANG Drug Task Force searched the home around 8:20 p.m. and found what they believed to be heroin and drug paraphernalia, according to the release.

After the search, deputies arrested Alohn Griffin, 37, on felony charges of delivery of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, the release said.

The release said Griffin was transported to the Callaway County Jail, where he is being held without bond until one is set by a judge.

Online court records showed Griffin was charged with only one felony count of delivery of a controlled substance.

Griffin was most recently charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia in Cole County last October, after deputies stopped a vehicle with an expired Missouri temporary registration. Deputies said then that they found Griffin with a gun and a digital scale with methamphetamine on it.
