Callaway County deputies arrest man after drug search near Fulton Middle School

Callaway County deputies said they arrested a Fulton man Thursday morning after finding drugs in his home near Fulton Middle School, according to a news release.

The news release said deputies, Fulton police and members of the MUSTANG Drug Task Force executed a narcotics search warrant in the 500 block of East 10th Street around 6:40 a.m. Deputies said the warrant was obtained as a result of a Callaway County narcotics investigation.

During the search, law enforcement found a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, the release said.

As a result, deputies arrested Reginald Wainwright, 29, on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, according to the release. Deputies said Wainwright was also wanted for a Callaway County failure to appear warrant.

The release said Wainwright was transported to the Callaway County Jail, where he is being held on a court-set bond of $5,200.

At last check, official charges have not been filed.
