Porter Jr. was scheduled to meet with his doctor in Dallas, Texas for a checkup today, head coach Cuonzo Martin confirmed last week. In November, the former Tolton star had back surgery in Dallas, Texas. The projected recovery time was three to four months.

Mizzou has three regular season games left before the SEC Tournament. The Tigers next game is on Saturday on the road against Kentucky at 7:15 p.m.

We’ve reached out to Mizzou to confirm the report, but we have not heard back yet. Coach Martin is scheduled to meet with the media for his regular availability tomorrow at 12:30 p.m.

We will continue to update this on-going story.
