Columbia representative weighs in on Gov. Greitens indictment

Local state Rep. Kip Kendrick tells ABC 17 News his thoughts are with Gov. Eric Grietens’ wife and children, and knows this is a difficult time for them.

Kendrick said this serious felony indictment charge is embarrassing for Missouri. He wants a governor who can effectively lead the state.

“The House will begin an investigation soon as a potential precursor to impeachment proceedings. Should this investigative panel decide to pursue impeachment proceedings it will not be because of partisan politics. It will be a decision made by House members of both parties to move the state forward.

This scandal and the felony charge transcend partisanship. Now, it’s about doing the right thing for the right reasons.”
