ORIGINAL STORY: Columbia police are searching for a man that was recently charged with domestic assault and kidnapping.

Police said on Feb. 4, they were dispatched to the 4600 block of Southhampton Court for reports of assault.

According to the probable cause statement, Dylan Pacheco pinned a woman to the couch and started to strangle her. The woman told officers that she was unable to speak or breathe during the strangulation.

Officers said the woman had red marks around her neck and she complained of it being sore and swollen.

Police said Pacheco fled the residence before police were able to get there.
