Osage County deputies arrest wanted man after responding to broken down truck

Osage County deputies arrested William Allen, 51, on Friday after officers determined he was a wanted man.

Deputies said they were checking on a stranded motorist on U.S. Highway 50 when they came in contact with Allen. He was accused of driving with a suspended driver’s license and also had active warrants from Lee Summit and the Troop A area.

Officers said they found methamphetamine and a schedule 4 narcotic without a valid prescription on Allen.

Allen was transported to the Osage County Jail.
