Columbia police arrest two after officers find drugs

Columbia police arrested Kevin Hackworth and Dejesus Goacher on Saturday afternoon when officers saw the two men walking on Sexton Road.

Police said they made contact with the two men and noticed a glass pipe in Goacher’s front pocket.

Officers also learned Hackworth had several outstanding warrants for his arrest. Police searched Hackworth and found methamphetamine and two unopened Suboxone packages.

Officers said they saw Goacher drop a small bag containing methamphetamine residue and found a glass pipe, an unidentified prescription pill and a woman’s wallet on Goacher.

Hackworth faces possible charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He had a total of four outstanding warrants for his arrest.
