Callaway County deputies arrest man after finding methamphetamine

Callaway County deputies arrested Darrell Thompson on Tuesday after officers stopped a vehicle on U.S. Highway 54 for a registration violation.

Deputies said during the course of the traffic stop investigation, a K-9 unit was called to help.

Officers found methamphetamine in the vehicle.

Thompson faces possible charges of possession of a controlled substance. He was taken to the Callaway County Jail and was later released.
