Expect surfaces to refreeze this evening, the sun returns tomorrow.
TONIGHT: Temperatures are expected to drop into the lower teens this evening as skies continue to clear out. Don’t forget that jacket. We can also expect many surfaces to experience refreezing by the morning. Give yourself extra time out the door early as much of the ice on untreated surfaces, like sidewalks & driveways, hasn’t had a chance to melt yet.
MONDAY: Expect abundant sunshine, but don’t let that fool you. Temperatures will remain cold in the upper 30s, however it will assist in melting off much of the residual icing.
EXTENDED: From Tuesday through Thursday, temperatures will climb into the 40s and even upper 50s, as winds back around out of the south. Wednesday and Thursday will be the warmest days, as many spots will likely squeeze out some 60s into the afternoon hours. By Thursday another cold front will track through the region. This will lead to falling temperatures through the day, with the chance for some showers. Due to the progressive nature of the frontal boundary and upper level support, very little moisture will be present with this system. Into next weekend highs will be in the 40s under partly cloudy skies. Watch ABC 17 News for the newest forecast and check back here for updates.
