Boil Order Advisory lifted for downtown Moberly

Moberly officials announced on Sunday that the water customers in the four blocks impacted by the water leak are no longer under a boil order advisory.

The blocks that were impacted were:

100 block of North Williams 100 block of North Fourth 300 and 400 block of W. Rollins

Public Utilities Director, Mary West-Calcagno, explained the advisories were issued for 48 ours to allow bacteriological sampling over a period of two days for to look for coliform. “Today, we are pleased to be able to lift the boil order advisory early. Our customers have been so inconvenienced, we didn’t want to extend the advisory any longer than absolutely necessary.”

There are no longer any boil orders or advisories for the city.

Crews are currently standing by for potential breaks due to the temperature swings.
