Columbia Public Works calling crews in for anticipated winter weather

Columbia Public Works officials announced on Friday that they are calling in an 8-person crew in anticipation of the freezing rain and glazing conditions.

“We may ramp up response depending on how conditions develop,” Engineering Manager Richard Stone said. “There is currently a fair amount of residual salt on first and second priority routes, but motorists should expect winter driving conditions to be present.”
