Callaway County deputies arrest wanted man accused of giving officers a false identity

Callaway County deputies arrested Justin Rothove on Tuesday afternoon after officers were dispatched to investigate a suspicious vehicle in the area of County Road 133 and State Road O.

Deputies said when they made contact with Rothove, he gave officers a false name to deceive law enforcement.

Officers later determined the real identity of Rothove and arrested him on two Callaway County warrants for felony distribution of a controlled substance and stealing motor fuel. He was later wanted in reference to a Boone County warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

Rothove was taken to the Callaway County Jail and has a court-set bond of $6,193.50.

Deputies said the investigation is on-going.
