A brief break from winter by tomorrow

WEDNESDAY: Wednesday morning will be another bitterly cold one as temperatures begin in the mid teens and wind chills in the single digits. Skies will clear with high temperatures only reaching the low 30s with northerly winds up to 10 mph.

TONIGHT: It will stay cold through the overnight hours as winds remain out of the north, but become calm by morning. Overnight lows will hit the mid teens again under partly cloudy skies.

EXTENDED: Thursday brings nicer conditions to Mid-Missouri as we warm into the mid and upper 40s. This warming trend will be very short-lived as another system will begin to slowly track into Mid-Missouri by the weekend. A frontal boundary that will be west/east oriented will be slow to move through the region. As it will be tracking into Mid-Missouri, several upper level disturbances will ride the disturbance and bring a chance for some winter precipitation.Temperatures will be in the upper 20s and lower 30s through Sunday, before another warming trend early next week with chances of rain.
