Driver seriously injured in car crash on Clark Lane

ORIGINAL: Columbia firefighters responded to a two-car collision in the 3200 block of Clark Lane early Saturday morning, officials said.

Firefighters at the scene said five units responded around 5 a.m. to help extricate one driver.
The Columbia Police Department directed traffic and kept one lane open while the scene was active, ABC 17 News reporters said.
Firefighters said two cars were involved, with one driver in each. The driver who had to be extricated was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Columbia police are taking over the investigation, officials said.
Firefighters said CPD will be finding out how the crash happened.
