Woman charged with resisting arrest causing officer to get tased

Hermann police arrested Christy Moore on Sunday after officers responded to the Amtrak Train Station for reports of a disruptive passenger on board a train.

According to the probable cause statement, Moore did not pay when she boarded the train and refused to leave.

Police said when they approached Moore, she became verbally combative.

When officers tried to arrest Moore, she began to physically resist and kicked one officer in the stomach and legs.

An officer said he attempted to deploy his taser but Moore grabbed it. A struggle ensued, the taser turned on, which caused the officer to be shocked momentarily. The officer suffered minor injuries.

According to the probable cause statement, Moore was wanted out of Carroll County for a driving while suspended warrant. She also has a criminal history out of Arkansas for disorderly conduct and failure to appear.

Moore was charged with assault, disarming an officer and resisting arrest.
